Milwaukee’s 3-inch M12 FUEL cut-off tool (2522-20) is built for quick, one-handed cuts in tight spots. Here is what it does well, where a grinder or saw still wins, and how to keep cleanup simple.
A fine-tooth carbide blade with a low hook angle gives the cleanest cut in aluminum, brass and copper. Keep that blade for soft metals only, so steel dust does not leave burrs behind.
A circular saw can cut some metals when you use a blade designed for metal and confirm the saw is compatible. Learn what to check before cutting and when to choose another tool.
